Bodegas Guiguan
A family-run bodega working the volcanic soils of Tinajo since 1948, on the northern edge of the DO Lanzarote zone where La Geria gives way to the lava fields of Timanfaya.
Guiguan calls its house style el vino de la caldera milagrosa — the wine of the miraculous crater — a nod to the scarce rainfall and porous lapilli that force the vines to draw moisture from condensation trapped beneath the black gravel. The cellar pairs traditional family practice with modern equipment: stainless-steel fermentation for the Malvasía Volcánica whites, oak ageing for the Tinto Crianza, and a Moscatel pressed from late-harvest fruit. Tours run through the vineyards and cellar with tastings of the current vintage, Monday to Saturday.
