Bodegas Martinón
A small family bodega in Masdache, at the eastern edge of La Geria.
Eduardo Martinón Armas — known locally as Babo Martinón — started the project in 2006 to make a single-vintage wine entirely from Malvasía Volcánica, the grape that defines the island. The vines grow in zocos, the hand-dug volcanic craters shielded by curved lava-rock walls from the trade winds. The cellar releases four labels: the flagship Blanco Seco, a semi-sweet Afrutado, the dry Lágrima drawn from century-old vines, and a Blanc de Noirs introduced in 2019 — the first in Lanzarote, pressed white from Listán Negro. The shop on Camino El Mentidero opens twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and bottles from the line have collected gold and grand gold at the Pequeñas DO and VinEspaña competitions.
