Bodega Vulcano de Lanzarote
A family bodega founded in 2009 in Tías, Vulcano de Lanzarote works the volcanic soils of the island under the small-run philosophy it calls «Boutique Bodega» — limited editions of young wines bottled in several fermentations across the year to keep the fruit forward.
The flagship is Malvasía Volcánica grown in the hand-dug zocos typical of La Geria and Masdache: shallow craters scooped from the lapilli, each cradling a single vine ringed by a low basalt wall. Vulcano was the first bodega in the Canaries to certify its range as vegan, and its winemaking favours stainless-steel fermentation, a proprietary cold must bank for multiple bottlings per vintage, and a small French-oak programme for the Roble. The portfolio spans bone-dry Malvasía and Diego whites, a Listán Negro rosado and tinto, the organic Liquen line, and the Vulcano Dolce dessert wine made from Moscatel de Alejandría. The boutique on Calle Víctor Fernández is open weekdays for tastings.
